29 Mar WMHF Men’s Health Charity Golf Day
Wolston Park Golf Club recently had the privilege of hosting the WMHF Men’s Health Charity Golf Day in partnership with Club Parkview, delivering a memorable event that brought together members of the local community in support of an important cause. The day was marked by strong participation and a shared commitment to raising awareness and funds for men’s health initiatives, reflecting the generosity and spirit of all involved.
From the opening tee-off through to the final putt, the course was filled with a lively and positive atmosphere. Participants enjoyed not only the quality of the golf but also the camaraderie and connection that such events foster. The day provided an opportunity for players of all skill levels to come together, share in friendly competition, and contribute to a meaningful cause that impacts many lives.
A particularly impactful moment of the event was the address delivered by Steve Mallet of @choices_flooring_by_mallets. By sharing his personal experiences, he offered valuable insight into the challenges surrounding men’s health and the importance of open conversation. His message resonated strongly with those in attendance, reinforcing the need to prioritise wellbeing and to encourage others to seek support when needed.
The success of the day was evident not only in the atmosphere but also in the tangible outcomes achieved. Through a combination of ticket sales, raffles, donations, and merchandise, more than $4,300 was raised during the event itself. This contribution forms part of a broader fundraising effort by the West Moreton Health Foundation, which has exceeded $35,000 over the course of the month. Such results highlight the power of community-driven initiatives and the meaningful difference they can make.
Events like this underscore the role that local organisations and venues can play in supporting important causes while strengthening community ties. Wolston Park Golf Club takes great pride in hosting occasions that go beyond sport, creating opportunities for engagement, awareness, and positive impact. The collaboration with Club Parkview and the support of participants and sponsors were instrumental in delivering a successful and rewarding day for all involved.
